hi people

i find myself in a very sticky situation.
I have an Alcorn mcBride HD player that only outputs 1080i. I also have a Jupiter Systems Pixel-Net distribution box that only accepts a progressive input. Somehow I have to convert the 1080i signal to 1080p signal. I've done quite a bit of research and haven't found a thing. Any suggestions or creative workarounds greatly appreciated.

Both the McBride and the Pixelnet unit support 292M, which is everything up to 1080i60, so if youjust want 25P or 30P you can use 1080P25sF or P30sF which, as long as you encode properly, will come out the other end just fine, depending on your display.

EDIT: When do we get to see the show, anyway? :)

Hey Cail

the McBride will play a lot of stuff but only output 1080i50 or 60. and the pixelnet only takes progressive inputs. We've tried feeding it 1080i and it just spat out some very nice but unusable diagonal cross hatching. I'd be happy with either 24p or 25p, hell even 30p if I had to. I don't quite understand what you mean by 1080P25sF ??? how do I encode this and how would the pixelnet think it was progressive ?

I did see Gefen make a few things that might do the trick if it comes to that. http://www.gefen.com/kvm/dproduct.jsp?prod_id=5284

as to when we see the final thing on screen, looks like late Oct at this stage, assuming I don't just do a runner !

ps. what is 292M ?
