Steve, "by end of March", not "at end of March"
Yes, just contact your rep. As long as your order has not started processing, you can edit that with them.
Why didn't you just put the 2pin Lemo port on the module to begin with? Clearly you realize most equipment need a 2pin Lemo for power, which is why you're offering that pigtail cable. Thanks for that cable, it makes that Aux port actually usable. But now we need to deal with ANOTHER adapter pigtail cable that makes cable management on these camera even more difficult and adds 2 more points of failure.
Welcome to a world that has too many standardsSome equipment uses 4 pin, some 2 pin.. albiet I agree with you 2 pin looks like it is winning the race as of now. pick either one and you will make one person happy and one person angry. We have always had 4 pin aux lemo outputs since the start with RED ONE to the PRO IO etc... so we are keeping it consistent with everyone that already has had cables made for their stuff that is in the RED program... the pigtail is an option for those that haven't yet.
We will cross over to whoever wins that war.. but its not a war that we are dictating. 19mm rods vs 15mm rods, offset vs studio, v lock vs AB....the list is long but we can't do everything when you need to choose one.
Jarred, does an adapter cable to 3 pin ever enter the eco-system?
Only if enough people scream for itthere are many custom cable companies out there that can make up anything.
For what its worth.. I hate the array of different plugs as much as all of you. Unfortunately its the world we live in. I dont think there is a single industry that uses one global standard connector for power, in either the consumer or professional world.
Also, note the aux power out Lemo on the +1. This little guy is going to be a cable most of you will have in your kits: http://www.red.com/store/products/4-pin-to-2-pin-adaptor-cable
Love that. A happy late night Friday surprise.
I need a cable made that converts my Scarlet to Dragon!!!!! :w00t:
I'm down with the purchase of the plus 1, but am I missing something in that the Backpack Adapter doesn't ship until the "end of March". Agh! what to do now with the onboard batteries until then? Suggestions?

Having a MG1 AB plate...what do I do in the meantime...?
Thanks Brent. I always like seeing Kelly(the other Kelly of course) at the store. And I have to go to Louisiana to start prep on a Nic Cage film on Monday and I wanted to take the plus 1
I hear you have a new toy
