1.8" REDSTATION reader : $250

1.8" ssd module : $1500

128gb 1.8" redmag $1500

Beautiful, and fantastic pricing, I was expecting much more than that to be honest!

Is there a list of which module will be interchangeable between Scarlet/Epic or all of them?

All modules are interchangeable between the Scarlet and EPIC.

This is particularly great news to me seeing as how I never grew out of playing with Legos I can now build the same way with my cameras!

ZZ

P.S. However, I'm still keeping the Legos...

I assume it's an SLC drive instead of MLC? If so, the pricing is very interesting, considering that 128GB 1.8" SLC SSDs cost more than $1,000 in retail at the moment. If you can find one, that is.

Jarred,

Very nice, very want one now!
Actually, if it is ready to ship with my phase 2 EPIC, I'll be elated beyond words.

I know someone is going to ask, so if this is addressed elsewhere, forgive me: Any chance that the 1.8 could work in another sled with the R1? Perhaps this might be under development?
Looks like a great way to standardize the media...

Great work all!

not sure why we would ever shoot on cards now -

The SSD Magazine is a much better $/GB than the new 64GB CF, but that extra $1500 for the module [not $1000; remember you've still gotta buy the Side CF module too because it has the monitor port] hurts. Probably going to be Side CF Module with 16GB cards for me :(
