I've looked all over but no luck. I'd like to some how use the 1/4 mount on my top handle to attach a mic, anyone have a link? Thanks!

Nice thing about the shoe-option is
-nice quick-release
-low profile , not sure the various "peg" style mounts will do you any favors in packing the camera
-other stuff can be mounted to it too

I popped one in the top of my RED handle. Handy little bugger.

I have used a cold shoe mount for years for exactly those reasons. Wireless receiver, on camera light, shotgun mic, they all go on/off in a snap and pack away clean. May not have been clear from my earlier post that the cold shoe adaptor I suggested is reversible, making it either a 1/4-20 or cold shoe mount in seconds, with a locking collar in either direction.

They are indeed very convenient. Which shoe mount do you use with your handle?

You can use the Wooden camera cold shoe together with the K tek mic holder which has a cold shoe fitting - a ton better than the Rode. Those lacky bands are a joke for holding your mic. You can find it as well at B & H.
