Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
Looking to buy a 75mm Leitz Summicron-C in excellent mechanical and optical condition.
Please PM or email with availability and price.
Thank you.

Hi there all. . .
I'm very glad to see REDUser back in operation again. . . and just in time for me.
I have an opportunity to buy three mint Leitz Summicron-C lenses for $10K. I'm tempted, but my question is this: I'm currently shooting on Komodo/Komodo-X, but wonder if buying S35 lenses...
Okay. . . I've been recommended not to do this, but I've carefully considered all my options and limitations and think this is probably the right way to go. (It is possible I'll come to regret the decision at some point, but given my advanced age. . . almost 69!. . . if it's going to happen...
Thanks for your detailed answer to my question, Mr. Holland! Truly!
In terms of video noise, is the V-Raptor visibly quieter than the KX in nighttime low-light situations? That's where I'll be shooting most of the next film.
Thanks again!
Stephen
Hi all. . .
I have ZERO interest in off-speed shooting. I'm 23.976 filmmaker. I also have no interest in 8K finishes. Again, I'm strictly a 3840p sort of guy.
Given those parameters, what, other than field of view differences and maybe half a stop of range, am I likely to experience buying...
Actually, Janis, you were right on all counts. . . except that I do have a Komodo-X, and would actually like to buy another one (body only).
:)
Stephen
I am very glad that Janis got to the bottom of this before money was exchanged. Exactly HOW they broke into my account is another issue.
I have since changed my password, but who knows?
It's sad.

Thanks for looking into this for me. . . that's beyond my capabilities. I have no idea why he picked me. To my knowledge, I've never been hacked before, and am glad that you figured it out before it was too late!

RED Komodo X – Excellent Condition | Includes Cage, RF-PL Mount
Selling my RED Komodo X cinema camera in excellent condition. Looking for $5000
The camera has only about 40 hours of runtime and has been carefully used on a few projects. Always handled with care, works flawlessly, and looks close...
The famed 18-35 f/1.8 is a RED workhorse. I can't imagine the new version not working. I was thinking about it myself, but since I have invested in the Kippertie Revolva EF/RF, I'll pass for now.
Here you go all!
Advancing age and encroaching infirmity (I'm now 68 and with a bad shoulder and knees!) means I'm out of the heavy-duty camera gear business.
This incredible READYRIG Vega system has rarely been used. We only make feature films, and only a few shots in each film use...
It's super lightweight, easily to balance, etc. I just wish it had one more stiffness selection. The 1030 dominates in that are, but that thing weighs a ton, and I'm getting older (68) and weaker by the day!
I have a Sachtler AceXL (75mm bowl) and love it. I also have an O'Connor 1030HDS, and actually prefer the AceXL. It perfectly balances with my Komodos. It's wonderfully lightweight and cheap to boot!
