Does the Red Pro Prime 25mm really weigh 6.16 pounds?

I am unable to read the RED 16gb flash cards on my Macbook PRO running OSX 10.5.6 I've tried 2 different compact flash readers including a Lexar Professional UDMA that I just bought. Of course my 8gb cards work just fine. What do I need to do?

anyway to record to 2 redrives at the same time? in otherwords, have the second drive be an exact duplicate of the first drive as we are shooting. Might be a nice feature for some of us under extreme pressure.
