I'm just going to throw this one out there...I ran it by a couple other RED shooters and they couldn't confirm.
Using the 1:1 Focus on the 5" touch screen (aka 1:1 zoom) can you choose what part of the image you are viewing. The Canon 5D's have a similar focus assist tool where you can zoom in...
I'm trying to install fan upgrade and new top plate. No dice. They do not fit together. I tried every possible solution barring drilling my own mounting holes.
The lip on back of the plate does not clear the back of the fan upgrade. Because of this the front 1/4 20's don't align.
If I remove...
Oops....I went to update to update my RED camera plug-ins and accidentally messed up my contents and directories folders.
Do I have to re-install everything?
(I know, I know I was supposed to back up everything in case this happened). What are potential solutions?
When you control the Pre-Amp does is have any effect on the quality of the sound you are recording? Or, is just controlling the input level of incoming audio?
Sometimes when I play with the Pre-Amp I feel like turning it up adds gain and white noise so I'm wondering what exactly is happening...

I have a RR card and mLink R Thunderbolt chassis. I love it and highly recommend it.
My question is the there a "refresh devices" or similar command in RCX? If I decide quit RCX and open it later I have to restart my entire computer to get RCX to recognize the RR card properly.
Unfortunately...
I've used my Scarlet setup and run audio through my A-box on a few occasions and it's worked out OK, but still have some technical questions. I'm running an MKE - 416 which is Phantom
The Pre-Amp starts at +30db. Is this typical of all recording devices. Sometimes I have to run it up to +50db...
I'm producing a 1 day studio shoot in Detroit next week and I'm looking for a couple local crew members.
- AC - Must know RED Cam + workflow. Flexible on weather this person is full camera operator or AC
- Gaffer/Grip - Handle lighting for 2+ setups and 1 interview.
Please don't respond...
In my PP6 project when I select "source settings" nothing happens. No window opens so I can adjust R3D's. I tested this a couple weeks ago and it was fine.
Secondly, when I select "edit original" it opens in RED Player instead of RED Cine-X Pro. WTF?!
I'm about ready uninstall and reinstall...
Can't get a clear cut answer from the Singular Software or Red Giant websites.
Will PluralEyes 3 work with RED raw files in Premier Pro 6? If not is there any workarounds for syncing a two camera interview...besides doing it by hand?
My end goal is editing on Premiere in a studio that's stocked with Macbok Pros and iMacs.
Can you drop a Quadro 4000 and/or a Red Rocket into the Magna Express Box or Sonnet?
It would be amazing to have a portable/swappable solution that speeds up Adobe Apps and powers through my RED footage...
-- I'm really enjoying Premiere's ability to work with the RED files and communicate with REDCINE-X.
However, I'm running into a glitch.
1. When working in Premiere Pro I select an R3D and ask for "EDIT ORIGINAL" it opens in RED PLAYER not REDCINE-X. Why? Can this be changed in preferences...
