Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
This is a dangerous question to ask considering all the options and variables, but what combination of process (AE, Premiere, Cineform, etc) and codec (h.264, x264, flv, etc) do you recommend for web delivery?
For the past year, I've been exporting full-res Quicktime files, then converting them...
I'm trying to export a video I shot with the R1 MX. I'm using Premiere CS5.5 with Windows. It keeps saying "Unknown Error Compiling Movie." The video is 37-mins long. Since I can't export the entire video, I've tried exporting just parts of it to find out what clip is giving me the problem...
RED, congrats on creating the Scarlet. We are all excited. There's no doubt we all aren't excited about owning the EPIC as well. But many of us (not all) made the decision to buy an Epic based on it's comparison to the Scarlet and other cameras. Some of us bought the Epic as part of a...
I'm purchasing a 4-pack of REDMAG 256GB SSD's. I only need one of the drives, so I'm selling the remaining three. If you need a 256GB SSD and are not in a hurry to get it right away, let me know. The cards have not yet arrived, but I'd like to find them a home before they get here. I'm...
Hi,
I'm looking for other people who are interested in going on a group buy for the REDMAG 256GB 4-pack. The price per card is around $2500, which is about $700 cheaper than buying a single 256GB SSD card.
If you are interested, please send me a PM.
Regards,
Jeremy
I was wondering if Nikons are being used on any larger projects; movies, music videos, etc? If not, is it mainly due to the quality of the optics or another reason?
Thanks,
Jeremy
Is there a proper way to delete clips in post or is it even possible? I need to free up some hard drive space on my editing machine and would like to remove some unused clips.
Thanks,
Jeremy
Hi,
I'm selling my Nebtek NEB70HD monitor. It's in good condition and never experienced any problems. I've kept a clear lens protector over the screen to protect it. It includes the Panasonic Battery adapter.
I paid $1840.00 for it brand new. I'm selling it for $1400. It can be shipped...
Hi,
If I color grade the footage in RedCineX, save the RMD and import the footage in After Effects CS5, the color data does not import. If I bring the same file into Premier CS5 it will work.
Does anyone know why my footage doesn't look the way I shot it in After Effects CS5?
Thanks for the...
This was an interesting discovery for me, so I thought I'd share it with some fellow Red users:
I attended the NAB this past year and had a chance to play around with the Arri LED Locaster lights. I really liked the build and quality of the light. It's fully dim-able and you can change the...
Hi Folks,
I was wanting to hear some experiences and advice that you've had in keeping your camera batteries charged in high altitudes. I'm camping on the summit of Mt. Ararat in eastern Turkey for 14 days and need to supply power to my 5 RED brick batteries. We'll be at an elevation of...
A solar power system is being built to supply power to all my RED brick batteries while filming in remote places.
1. What is the power draw of the charger when charging two batteries? On the battery specs at the website it says, "Max sustainable power load is 100W @ 13.8V". Is that for 2...
Has anyone had success in editing RED footage on a laptop, or is it even possible? If so, please let me know what PC based laptop you suggest.
Thanks,
Jeremy
I remember seeing a camera at the NAB that shot at 5000 fps. I think it was a newer version of the Viper, but I'm not sure. Anyone know the name?
Jeremy
Hi,
I was wondering if someone can tell me about the Kinoflo Vistabeam 300 and give a short review. I'd like to know how it compares to the Parabeam 400 and what would be a better choice for film lighting. Two Parabeam 400's or one Vistabeam 300?
I want a versatile light that can be used on...
Zacuto's univeral Z-Release mount for 19mm studio rod systems can be installed anywhere on your rod system without removing any equipment; it attaches by mounting underneath the rods and tightening the outer levers. The Q-mount 19mm studio has many uses including: mounting Zamerican arms for...
