Hello everyone. So it may be a while til I can upgrade to the Scarlet-W and so I have shoot coming up next week - fashion runway and while I would love to shoot it in 120fps I'm still on Scarlet-MX. I have been shooting a bunch of stuff recently at 48fps at 3k which I like - but I wanted to go...

Sounds like the section 179 deduction will increase to $500,000. Who is making some last minute purchases and on what? Too nad the new cams don't release til next year. ;(

Okay. I wanted to put together a bad ass lighting kit for all scenarios as I like shooting photography, video, all sorts of stuff. But watching some content recently like Chef's Table and the closeups of the culinary dishes it reminded me that I do have a soft spot for product photography. So I...

Ok so with Raven coming out in February and with myself still on a Scarlet-MX I was wondering rather than going through the hassle of selling and considering Scarlet value is dropping like a rock - if anyone can point me to videos which intercut both Dragon footage and MX footage. At this point...

So I have a heavy tripod for shooting video and some cheapo ones to hold up a slider but I need a quality tripod for photography in studio. Can anyone suggest some good ones and a good head to go with it? Thanks

Holy crap Titan Z price slashed on newegg to $1500. Is this a deal or is the next gen around the corner?

I was curious how many are going with Nikon mount lenses + adapters vs native Canon EF mount lenses (so you can manually adjust aperture) on lenses like Zeiss, Sigma series which would come in all mount flavors. Or do you usually not find a need to adjust aperture on the fly at all?

Hello everyone. I would like to benchmark my new build PC and wondering if there is anywhere I can download a full 1 minute long 6K FF R3D so I can test in Redcine-X. Much appreciated if you have any resources.

So I finally built a new computer after many years and now on to figuring out a decent workflow. I've never used a RAID before and this was actually the first time using SSD drives as well. Just looking to finely tune my workflow. While I am not cutting feature length films I would like to have...

So I had a few minutes to kill yesterday and after lunch walked through the sprint store (I have been finally off contract for a few months and was considering upgrading my phone) and I saw the LG G3 on display that stated the display was Quad HD so I immediately thought wow I have to read up on...

Can any experts out there suggest the best, and almost best lav mics for plugging in directly to dslr and scarlet/epic. I would prefer these to go directly into camera and recorded onto the file and not in a external recorder. Thanks all.

With this new continuous autofocus on Canon cinema series and 3 axis gimbals becoming evermore popular will we see a continuous autofocus implemented on RED? I think this would be helpful on leading, following talent on gimbal use. And with REDs having multiple mount options this would be amazing.

Looks like my crap computer finally failed. Any backup routinr suggestions for going forward anyone? I tend to make copies of very important files every few months but never on a schedule. Going forward I need to come up with a schedule. Any tips everyone else is using?

Noticed something odd when I charged one of my redvolts today. Normally when I press the led indicator button on a redvolt it shows me just how much remaining 100%, 66% or 33% but after I recently charged one of these redvolts when I pressed the button only the 1st and last led lit up (not the...
