Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
I was just wondering if anyone knew what camera and lenses they were shooting with. i think the lighting, color and a feel is really cool. I want to believe that they just happen to catch the sun at the right moment or maybe the studio has built in nice lighting. I dunno i rarely see "doc"...
Is there any good deals beyond wooden camera? I'd like to get one with a rubber grip. I'm also trying to keep it under 400 if possible but that maybe wishful thinking.
After climbing down from a tree stand some how my Lemo cable feel apart. I'm trying to figure out if I have all the pieces and how to screw it all back together.
Attached is a picture and if anyone can point me in the right direction to screw it back together cause I'm afraid of doing it wrong...

what is your practice on set using color charts?which charts do you use?
is there a way to zoom in on just the color chart so that waveform only shows the color chart?
im trying to apply the method they talk about in this provideo article but they use color rather then redcinex...
So I am trying to figure out if I can take this job. I am worried about being about to covert footage from either scarlet 24p or canon 60D 24p to "1080i60 (59.94i) 29.97 fps – Drop Frame time-code" to be broadcasted on network tv.
they gave me a break down chart and want it "native HD format"...
after reading through every thread i could find about ND and hot mirrors and IR contamination im trying to figure out the best way to fill up my 2 stage mattebox.
which sounds like a better idea:
HMIRND 1.2 + a 4x4 (3. or .6) ND
or
Hot Mirror + a 4x4 (3. or .6) ND + a screw on 1.2 ND
feel...
digging around the internet i found a filter chart from tiffen that said when shooting the red one you should always use a hot mirror. is this the case with the MX sensor (one, epic and scarlet)?
ive been planning on buying a HMIRND 1.2 to use with regular ND filters then i read this and im...

its looking like 1920x1015 to me but we'll see once its exported.
I shot video for a fashion shoot with kids and it was on a large cyc wall. Video wasnt the prority so i didnt get to light each scene perfectly not to mention kids were just going wild. also a bulb blew on the first day so a few shots from day 1 arent as pretty as day 2. Some background isn't 2...

when using a circular polarizer and regular ND filters do i put the pola closest to the lens or top of the stack?
if im using a hot mirror or IR filter does this shake up the order with the polarizer ?
what is the limit for filtration? is 4 filters stacked ok?
So im looking for a color correction tutorial that delves less into work flow of get in "one light" grading and getting out. id like to see a heavier grade.
is everyone finishing on davinci resolve or red cine x?
