    Sirui VP 1

Thanks, very helpful. The edges look pretty sharp for budget glass… What exactly are we looking at with the vignetting tests?

    Sirui VP 1

Thanks. And corner/edge softness wide open? How would you say they compare to the Nisi Athenas or Vespids ? I’m attracted in big part because of the multi mounts as I own a fx6 as well as a Komodo…

    Sirui VP 1

Has anyone used these? I can’t find a real review online from anyone besides influencers who received them for free from Sirui.

    Oh no! A hammer?

    BP battery mount sturdiness

Looks like a great option but kind of pricey if you don’t need the I/O. Does it add a lot of weight to your rig?

    BP battery mount sturdiness

Thanks. I emailed Mutiny about the battery only version and they said it doesn't use the BP pins, so I guess that's good...

    BP battery mount sturdiness

Yeah, might work for my needs. I have a portkeys for wireless camera control and the TC conversion cable... Have you heard anything about the core swx gold mount plate for the Komodo, Dustin?

Thoughts on this? (also from Mutiny) https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1893670-REG/mutiny_wedge_b_v_the_wedge_battery_mount.html/specs

    BP battery mount sturdiness

Has anyone run and gun long term using just BP batteries on their Komodo? I was just doing some light handheld work and one of the my Canon bp-955 batteries disconnected from the camera. I don't think it physically disconnected though. Not sure if it was because I bought it used, but a "?"...

    ELQ vs LQ vs ProRes

Yes, he was an Armenian who was born in Union City. Supposedly he innovated characters breaking the frame... The film isn't officially out, but I'll send you a screener...

    ELQ vs LQ vs ProRes

Cool. Love to see it when it's done. I DP'd a doc about an artist named Art Pinajian who had his start in comics and was pretty innovative...

    ELQ vs LQ vs ProRes

Thanks, Brian. I should probably just play it safe and stay in LQ mode... Did you shoot your Eisman doc with the Komodo?

    ELQ vs LQ vs ProRes

I bought the Komodo to use alongside my fx6 to do higher quality talking head work. Is ELQ good enough for interviews or should I shoot Prores? I do long form docs and the interviews are usually about an hour. Is LQ the minimum? I'm worried about data piling up. Thoughts? Thanks

    Premiere Pro laggy playback

Adobe is a bit of a joke at this point. But I've been working with it for 15 yrs so you know the teaching old dogs saying. If my partner didn't pay for the monthly subscription I would use Resolve. In fact, I'm going to start learning DR because it's just better...

Thanks, I'm going to update PP but I'm hearing bad things about v25 so I may go to 24

    Premiere Pro laggy playback

No jags in Cine-X. I guess PP is the bottleneck...

Thanks, Brian. I haven’t downloaded Cine-X yet but I will. I do use an SSD drive though…
