Shooting with 1.8.5 today and had some weird glitches. Screen had a snowy, abstract image, then b & w and then unsupported battery error. I pulled the battery ( which is brand new OEM Canon bp) and the camera powered down. Restarted without issue but probably rolling back to 1.8.3. Anyone else...

Installed the new FW and switched back and forth between r3d and prores a few times without issue. The file looks OK, too... Word on the street is KX has face detect AF now? Has anyone tested it? Hopefully it comes to the OG (without having to use the app)...

Right, good idea. I think they mentioned the r3d to ProRes switch over but not the ProRes file corruption?

I've owned an fx3 and fx30 and they're great grab n' go cameras, as well as b-cams. I would love an fx3 style camera with Red guts to match my Komodo and just toss in a bag and shoot away...

My current set-up for handheld on my Komodo is two wing grips. I haven't shot for an extended amount of time yet. I was wondering if those of you who have the Outrigger Handle find it worth the purchase for extended handheld shooting sessions? Also, I just bought a bag which fits the Komodo...

The Nikon ZR rumors seem legit. An fx3 style camera with 8K or 6K, good AF, IBIS and Red image quality/r3d makes sense and I'd definitely consider picking one up.

Yeah, I own the 18-35 and it's great. They're so inexpensive on the used market, too. I picked one up recently for $350...

Sorry if this is in the wrong place… The antenna on my Portkeys bm5iii wr is stuck in the halfway up position. It was loose so I hand tightened the nut and now it won’t move. I tried loosening it with a pliar but it won’t budge and the plliar is too big to turn enough to loosen it. Has anyone...
