Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
It's unfortunate that Phil's 26 mm standard or some other standard did not become a thing. As we are now beginning to see interesting glass specifically designed for short flange, I believe, the multitude of standards will help sell less lenses not more. The new Nano's look great and typically...
Is there a better antenna for distance for either the Raptor or the Komodo X? I noticed the Komodo X has a longer antenna than the Raptor, is it better? Or how do I get replacement OEM antennas?
Phantom Track seems pretty cool. Are those the same frames from the Phantom Track of your hand waving? Not sure how fast your hand is moving but that one inch difference is significant for moving shots assuming it would be the same for EH shots, for Phantom Track it does not matter.
Thanks. Would you know where the firmware can be found? I don't see the beta option that used to be on the Red download page. Also what is the best way to turn on and off the cameras power remotely? Like in a gimbal.
As the camera knows what is clipping it's unfortunate that with EH it can't only record the part of the frame that is clipped as that would drastically reduce the data. Kind of like some of those compression algorithms that reuse pixels that are not changing everything on the highlight track...
Now that it's out, Looking forward to getting one tomorrow. Also will the upgrades start immediately and can we upgrade the S 35 raptors?
It looks like they cost $5k more than the current non X but the upgrade price is $12k to bring current Raptors up to X.
I think BM has an amazing camera coming up for NAB that is going to blow away everybody, global shutter for sure as that is the new standard for anything this point forward.
