Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
Share's hints in his promo for Thursdays release of his Red Dragon tests (finally!) that it is the master of all cameras, should be an interesting read and review.
Hi there,
I have just shot a vfx backplate element of a rooftop here in Sydney in 6K 2:1 ratio. but I need the mechanical film back dimensions of the Red Dragon in order to create a virtual camera in Maya for filming a CGI aircraft to go into the comp. I'm sure it's in a Phill Holland Chart...
Shane Hurlburt is putting the Dragon through tests today. I am very keen to see what he has to say about it. When he was out in Australia last year I was asking him to check out the Dragon Sensor as soon as he could because I think he will be well impressed. It's fair to say he is a Canon man...

I was getting real time playback at 1/2 debayer and it was topping up the buffer, visibly...

This is my first footage shot on the RED Dragon.
Only a few days before leaving for the AIE Top Alumni shoot in Tuscany (topaiealumni.com) I managed to shoot my first test footage on the Dragon sensor. I shot from pre-dawn on two different days, in order to find...
