All workflows need storage whether PC or MAC or Linux. They're mostly similar apart from formatting of the drives etc. I feel i may be missing out on good info or ideas. Was out on friday night in Soho for a few beers and an old contact mentioned that the new sony camera, the 9000 i think, is coming out in the near future. Expect a press release towards the end of the week i'm being told. Apparently it's 4K, with the possibility of being 8K too with an upgrade...

I realise that RED are primarily a Cinema company, but there is still overlap. Lot's of people want to use a RED ONE and Scarlet for 1080p TV, but without a CCU for the RED ONE, this makes things tricky for studio use. Is there any chance???:help: Simon

Would it be possible to have a Red Ray with a flash/ssd card reader built in. Then i could take my 8gb card out of the scarlet, power up the RedRay (no PC/Mac required) plug the card into the RedRay, pop in a DL DVD-R and then press a magic button and hey presto, the RedRay will copy everything...
