Where to rent Leica Summilux-C primes?

If you have a Leica Summilux-C prime set or plan on getting this set then please let us know who you, and what city your in so we can rent them from you.

I know they are few sets out there, but I dont know where. From what I understand they dont actually ship until the fall? I would like to rent a set now for 4 weeks if I can. (Wishful thinking?)

The main purpose of this thread is to help redusers locate a set.

I don't think these lenses are being delivered yet.

That said, it looks like Band Pro is going to be your best and only choice for a while until more sets of these lenses start making their way into the wild. I would contact them.

I liked these lenses better when they were called the Mystery Primes. It's a much sexier name than Leica Summilux-C primes.

We have many lens options in rental inventory, including some lovely converted Leica still lenses from the past. We also sell the new Schneider Cine Xenars, which many have commented to have a "Leica-esque" look to them.

In the past Schneider-Kreuznach had designed some of Leica-R lenses:

Hi Clay,

We have the Leica Summilux lenses on order and will be available from TCS in New York.

Late Fall i.e December is just the estimate but as they say around here "Subject to Change"

Yikes - at NAB it was still December, but out of caution I normally add two months to the actual delivery time (though not this time). Sanjin, is your source reliable or based on an estimate?

In any case, I wouldn't make a lens reservation (for your job Clay) because it is such an unknown. Best thing is just to stay in touch closer to the job dates.

Copy you Oliver...glad to hear you will be getting a set, I will keep my eyes on that for season 2 of our show if we get picked up! As a leica owner/shooter...I am itching to get my hands on a set. I will pester you for a test until they arrive. cheers.
