Chat with Ted and his EPIC here in Vegas...

[Noel Evans]

Joseph any chance of asking Ted how the scarlet compares in size to this?

Will ask, we never went into full detail about size on or off camera, tomorrow I'll be sure to add that to the list, I'll tweet the answer Noel, @zacatac927

Thanks,
Zac

[Tico Llaurador]

Looks like a Hasselblad on steroids, but seems mighty manageable.

[Robert Frank]

Hey, at least you got some excellent pics... Not so sure about the hat though... jk

Yeah man, great pics!

And the hat is Joseph's trademark!

[Rick Darge]

Awesome pics!

Were you able to boot the camera up and shoot?

[Charles Angus]

As in "Who needs a cat on his shoulder, when you can have a kitten in your palm..."

Anyone doing handheld, is the answer.

[Sam Taylor]

Your very obvious happiness at getting your hands on an epic is infectious!

[Andrew Gentle]

Ha, awesome pics guys. Pretty jealous! I vote for the hat too, it's a good look, Joseph!

[Mark Phelan]

Jim has a real winner in Ted.

Still one of the non-working prototypes, Ted said that if he walked around with a working epic, he'd never get breathing room.

Working Prototypes are Tomorrow

Indeed. A really great guy...

A lot of pictures looking into the EVF while it's not plugged in... might want to photoshop one in or it could end up here:http://cameradeptporn.tumblr.com/

[Tim Whitcomb]

Got to say as exciting as the PICS are... its really nice to see TED looking so healthy!

Can't wait for recording, static or not!

66% uploaded of Part I.

Part II goes into the ability of shooting your motion and while shooting, you can click the "virtual shutter" and maybe click that 50 times throughout 30 minutes of shooting.

Then, you go back and look at the metadata that has been tagged. Instead of you being forced to take the right shot at the right second, you just know that somewhere within say 10 seconds of that virtual shutter click you have a great still photo that can be processed using the same RAW abilities the motion brings.

Due to a number of requests, we have decided to offer the video in spite of the intermittent interference in the audio. If you don't like the video, you don't have to tell me that it stinks. I'm actually not uploading it for you...only the ones who wanted to see it in spite of it's flaws. http://vimeo.com/10921200 is the link, and as I type this it still has a few minutes left to encode. Hopefully everything loads properly...if not, I will fix it in about 6 hours. In the meantime, I am taking a nap... Enjoy!

It's up. Never mind about the noise, the content more than makes up for it. Keep up the awesome work, guys!
