Will the Pro Prime series lenses have the ability to be controlled via red-mote? Zoom, iris, focus etc...

They shot the lobster with this lens and use it on a daily basis! But they don't know the coverage?

The 18-50 was $6500, I believe. I'm not sure about the coverage, but I don't think it'll cover 5K.

So i heard the qulaityof the Pro lenses and 18-50mm is not the same in terms of glass. i was there yesterday at RED store and asked marko and Chad said its justs the body styling that is different glass elements r the same.

is that true? will 18-50mm match my cooke s4/i ?

I got my hands on this new lens at RED Day - and was extremely impressed. Mechanics are excellent (felt better than even the RPPs). Tracking was dead on. I hope to get one ASAP to shoot some tests - but based on what I saw - I'm inclined to buy two. I think these will be excellent lenses for not only steadicam, but 3D work as well.

I'm not exactly sure what you are saying here... but the glass in the 17-50mm Pro zoom is completely different than the 18-50mm Standard zoom. I can attest that there is not one element the same between the two lenses.
