The Acrobat rig has been improved since first design and made more modular in design as well as shorter in length and with more features.
I will be releasing some 3ds next week as I still doing tests to mock ups.
But the design is almost finalized.
It includes a new redesigned shoulder pad that expands and secures around your chest, and a 1/1 - 1/3 point pivot for elastic cord to hang from ceiling of moving vehicles or hellis for vehicle aerial operation.
It also has a vibration isolator for the kenyon mount to house 2 ks6-ks8 gyros.
Iam also working on a spring short mount for the shoulder to absorb vibrations in case there is no space for hanging the rig.
Last an easy-rig attachment for the easy-riggers.
1 or 2 handle bars can connect to the front part according to taste of operation.

More projects are in the way.

One is a shoulder mount that this time has no tail and the camera is 50/50 on your shoulder but still free in 3 axis so less body motion errors and roll errors when walking.

Second is a mount arm for Dollies.
Its a spring arm that attaches to a boom section of a dolly, and together with a special designed gimbal and base will provide stabilization and isolation from vibrations . so no tracks just pneumatic wells now .
That can be also attached in a few other that dolly configutations as a hard mount on vehicles.

Everything is coming up 2010 and I hope you guys will like it.

thank you:sifone:

Thanks Sanjin.

Getting there . Too many products.
Nice to know you are interested in new technology with good prices.

I think it will take some time to people get into this but I think its worth it and I try to be as much reasonable as I can even if this is very costly for me.

I hope I can hold into this.

Cheers

Its basically an upgaded version with a few more features of the HR-1D.

guys I dont know whats up and Iam not a computer wizard either.
I ll ask some help. Is this annoying?

Thank you for your support

Awesome. Any rough estimate on what this might run, price wise?

This is just a ruff estimate though.
it will cost in between 5000-6500 euro.
It includes a complete carbon pan tilt roll free float head, a carbon and aluminum spring arm, ( which is a big version of a steadi-cam related arm) and a wide angle mount for the boom section of the dolly or hard mount , that allows the arm to boom from around 30cm
to about 130 cm above ground if mounted low on bazzoka dolly. There are a lot of pivots and bearings in this and I keep improving it to make it as light and as rigid and beefy as possible.the spring action of the arm is fully adjustable for camloads from 6kgr-30kgr.
I cant say any more about it. But I recon is another creative tool missing from cinema tools, or exist in other forms.

Constantine hopefully this is not a stupid question, but will the 50/50 rig be capable of holding KS-8s? I need something compact that can use gyros.

Hello Tom. Both Acrobat and HR-1D as well as the upcoming MACHINE rig which is basically an upgraded HR-1D can accommodate gyros. In fact you can improve your motion stabilization with kenyon gyros by putting them to any device as long as you do it right.
I will send you some configuration renders over the week end so you can see every rig separately with gyros on board and choose which way to go.
I will upload then up on my website.
the new rig THE MACHINE has a 3d gimbal as well and it can be used for you application as well as the ACROBAT . It has the ability to pan like the HR-1D which doesnt apply to the ACROBAT.
Pm me with any questions you might have. I never sleep..:reddevil:

Also one other thing I trying to get round to it is how to adapt a isolation mechanism
on the gimbal area to isolate from external vibrations , and be as well small enough to adapt to the gimbal with out taking much space, and Iam almost there.
I have 3 different options to choose from.
See how this goes.

Can't wait til someone checks in on the Tel Aviv Airport with the Bomb viewfinder and Terrorist rig to shoot a pilot ;)

Seriously though, it looks like 2010 is going to be a very exciting year on your end as well, Constantine.
