Come on who's playing it? I can't be the only one who's been playing for 10 hours straight?

Red Clan anyone???

Add me if you're playing (jedi628) xbox

Can PS3 players add Xbox? Been meaning to try it.

Been letting loose on Unchartered 2 the past week. Most Amazing game ever.

It is the single most destructive thing to affect my work output and family responsibilities at the moment.

Kill, kill, kill!

XBOX ID El Serpento

I've been holding out. I got "The Force Unleashed: Sith Edition" on PC last week and am still mastering it.

bahah. all the REDuser gamers. you guys are funny.

I'm stuck in cali, vacationing, while all my friends tell me how fun it is....

Oh wait, I'm on the west coast, vacationing, in warm weather, they freeze, indoors...

I can hold off for a few more days

Getting into trouble I hope. Just make sure you are bailed out by December 1st. :-)

Been render watching all night and playing through the first game in between passes. I was slow on picking up this one since I was uncertain whether the majority of my friends would go PC or 360.

The UK supermarkets had a price war on MW2, they sold it for the equivalent of USD 38 plus taxes.

Picked it up on both PS3 (digitalsafari) and Xbox 360 (Digital Safari), will decide which version to keep later.

Its banned over here. Had to get a friend to buy a copy from the states, and am getting it soon. Got it on PC, then discovered everyone else I know bought it for 360. Guess that'll be a second copy to buy then!

SOME SPOILERS ENCLOSED

I say this hesitantly, because I am certainly not for censorship, but I do feel that the game has some socially irresponsible elements to it. First off let me just say, I love to shoot things in video games, especially sneaking up on people and putting a round into someone's dome, preferably an online opponent. The problem that I have with this video game is that it portrays some very realistic elements of warfare in a highly unrealistic manner. One could believe that they have some sense of what being in the military is like and think that it is **cool** and to take it a step further, the premise that a war with Russia and their invasion of America is due to some set up, that the U.S. is a victim of deceit - pretty outlandish and certainly not relevant with current events. As an American, proud of our volunteer military service, those that serve, both in the military and outside as public servants... it must be said that some people could equate 9-11 attacks, an attack by an ideology and cellular organization, being justification to wage war against nation states... I think it is responsible and smart to evaluate such conflicts, even as a war planner, in a more realistic manner, and certainly for those whose only perspective of war is through video games, potential armed forces recruits. Perhaps I unfairly assume that the young are addicted to video games, don't read the news, or have access to unbiased "good" news sources...

Enough preaching, to address some of the mechanics of the games...

I miss the realistic damage from games such as Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6, specifically Raven Shield. You get shot, you die, unless it is just the arm or leg, in which case you are severely impaired.

When you die you don't respawn, or if you do in multi-player games, it is after a long delay. Even in the single player Raven Shield, if you die, you still watched the progress of your team and you gnashed your teeth when they failed, knowing that if you had stayed alive, you could have changed the outcome of the fight.

I do have to say that the graphics are really cool and it looks very cool. As a former service member, I feel it is a little disrespectful, though, to have warfare distilled down into a DOOM like experience. Rounds from rifle class weapons should have much greater penetration. An enemy missile barrage should have just as great circular kill radius as your own weapons do when you fire them at your enemy. It is a little far fetched that you are on a roof of a fast food joint in Virginia, survive a rocket attack, then immediately get recon of the enemy's forward observer position, single handedly mount an attack against them and save your comrades. This just has a little bit too much Team America F*ck Yeah to it. I'd appreciate a wargame that depicts war more realistic and is a team based, strategy inspiring game. The first Ghost Recon sort of did this. The subsequent Ghost Recons totally demolished any sense of good game play. If I wanted to be a super soldier, then I'd probably rather play Halo, which is a franchise that I also love.

I do understand that it is a commercial venture and they want to sell games. It probably isn't too thrilling to try to show a gamer the experience of starving, being cold, wet, thirsty, sleeping in the snow, having rashes in not to exciting places from "humping" up and down mountains, passing 60 pound mortar base plates between you and your mates, having trouble pooping your dehydrated meals, eating in the dark, etc... but something closer to Raven Shield / Ghost Recon (1), would probably be more responsible and at the same time make a certain segment of the gaming enthusiast more happy. And radar... come on.

Out of curiosity but what difficulty are you playing on?

Whenever I play COD or online I always choose the hardest difficulty and prefer to play on the servers with "minuscule" health. Both of which are pretty good about single bullets killing or downing.

Easy... all the way... I suck at first person shooters.

I bought it because the graphics look incredible!

I burned through it in 6 hours yesterday... on whatever the 3/4 difficulty setting is. The single player is amazing, but about half the length I was hoping for. Freakin' fantastic game either way.

Does anybody know if PS3 players can connect to 360 players? I've never tried the multiplayer before [too many 14 year old kids who blow my head off before I can even figure out what I'm supposed to do].

Stupid Activision is still holding out on servers for PC?!?!

:badputer:

And that's why I'm not getting it...
It's BF: Bad Company 2 for me.

:cheers2:
