I feel like my white balance in daylight is off. Not off looking as it seems to render a very neutral image with AWB but the numbers I'm getting are in the 4000º-4500º Kelvin range even off clouds in the sky. My D3 (i don't have a color meter) is choosing 5000º-5500º as I would expect. Thoughts?
Evan,
I especially notice this when I look at the same (old) shot in the older version and new version of RA. IT seems like there is a kelvin shift to lower 5600K to around the 5000K point.
WHen I shot test charts on build 18 vs. 20 I have to say that the new stuff in the low light was on the green side in tungsten lighting and on the magenta side with a 400watt Joker. In actual daylight I found the new build 20 more aesthetically pleasing and much sharper than 18.
All the new stuff shot on 20 in the new RA is stunning.
I think what is actually going on is that the camera's white balance meter is much more accurate to what is happening. Most lighting does not actually register exactly at 56K or 32K. The red is exposing the light for what it actually is now.
