  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Render action...

I really like the fact that first render shows some ports on the brain. It makes the "stills" layout far more viable for those of us who want to have the camera lightweight.

They all look lovely BTW

Looks small.

Jim; What is the multi port missile launcher under the EVF on the Epic?

And it's a good thing to have the EVF offset to the left of the Scarlet. Some of us are left eye dominate. I know not a very large percentage of us, but plenty enough. ENG cameras are a huge pain for me with almost no left offset.

Based on the scarlet and epic renders, is it safe to say your making your own matte boxes now?

Only one thing remains to be said to my 1Ds III.. :seeya:

ciao

We will show prototypes from about a month or so ago. The final version won't be seen by anyone until we are ready to ship. Competitive reasons... you understand. Someone is actually paying attention to what we are doing now.

Jim

So the massive change in the program on April 1 was not with the physical bodies? I guess it the workflow that changed, or stats.

We are finding out what the change was tomorrow?

Very cool renders!

I'm just killing some time before Wed.

That looks awesome and your renders are unmatched Jim.
But this is the first time I am really spotting what seems to be an HDMI connector.
As I 'voted' in the Conundrum thread, I am more for features and would rather wait.
However, HDMI as signal standard is ok, the connectors are not.
Please use at least a DVI connector and let us use connectors or adapter cable with DVI at one end and HDMI at the other. If for HDMI's sake it must be that crabby plug, than pretty please at least a locking type connector.
Thanks for listening.

Not a fan of how far out to the left the viewfinder is hanging out.
That handle on the base has a trigger out on the right hand side of the body?
Be nice if we could flip it so that the trigger is under the viewfinder.
Then rotate the cam ninety degrees and the viewfinder is on the top.
Then rotate the imaging chip inside the brain (less important if the chip is square.)
Tall narrow scarlet become wide short Scarlet.

P.S.
Oh crap, and I'm going to have to be left handed!

Yeah, somehow I hear you, lefty you, lefty me.

I agree on the HDMI plugs and the viewfinder being a bit too far out to the side for the small hand held... however that may not have a solution, unlike the plugs.

Though a "solution" would be to use an LCD if possible.

This reminds me of the scene in American Psycho, when the crowd are around the conference table, showing off their new business cards (pre-aluminium cards possibly =). I imagine a Patrick Bateman's reaction, to Paul Allen's card, everytime you post a new render Jim.
