  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Official Post Your DSLR Still Photography Thread

I shot these with a hassy and phaseone h20 back which I've since sold and now shoot stills with a couple of 5d mark 2 cameras.... the 5d mark 2 really does some nice images for the money.
any imagerie for checking your 5dmk2 shots out?.. grabs is ok too

Thanks Tom, I love your timelapse ...You already know that

Cheers!

HDTimelapse, Great Shot and yes, I love Tom's timelapse work also. His stuff that he shared last year inspired me to buy a timer for my 5D. I got a short movie of asparagus growing in my garden as a test (not good enough to share) and I hope to do some astro work this summer while out with my Schmidt-Cassegrain. Love those evening shots Tom!

Thanks guys. :patriot:

HDtimelapse, I sent you a PM here.

Nice one Ketch, I love the shades of red.

Here's a mixed bag of treats from me to make up for my recent inactivity here:

The first two are shot in Istanbul, Turkey.

The next one is from a gig I was shooting. This man is a "one man band" bluesman called Son of Dave who goes on stage with a harmonica, delay pedal and a hamper of random stuff and somehow makes amazing music out of it. Oh, and he's Juno winning and Grammy nominated from his time in the Crash Test Dummies. Check his myspace out...

And this final one is just a portrait I took of a friend this sunday. Nothing professional, we were just enjoying the sunshine that London's been getting lately.

Some great shots so far. Here is a mixed lot of some of mine. All of these are with a 20D.

From my 5D. My Mother had finches build a nest on her windowsill. I have a 1 minute/still video of the babies going from eggs to leaving the nest using the Canon timer.

From my RED in the garden (cropped down, of course)

Help! How do I do the "attached thumbnails" thing so larger images can be shown?!!!

I second that, I feel like im commiting a faux pas by posting large pictures :embarassed:

Thanks alot for your comments here and on Flickr Pietro, it means alot to me.

I call this picture "I picked the wrong wife..." It was shot in Chinatown, London on Chinese New Years this February. This man just had the most tired look on his face as his wife kept straightening his jacket and wiping crumbs off him. I couldn't get the shot at first because the AF on my "Bigma" was having trouble at this distance (250-350mm?) and they disappeared. I have to run around an alley to catch them in the act again and focus by eye.
