A couple of re-housed lenses:

- Rehoused by Focus Optics/Nikon F/G 14mm-24mm T 2.9 (FF35mm), Manual Iris, the price about USD $10,500.

Hey Sanjin, Red's are supposed to be 5 for sure for under 20k. Or did they take that back?

Thanks for doing this.

Now I heard they will show only 3 primes and later add more to have 5 or even 6 in the set.

Please correct me if I'm wrong here and just continue further... .

The latest info is that Mitch Gross (Abel Cinema) and Laagun talking about the same lenses...

so this sort of confusion and fogging is going to be clear at NAB.

Buying Euro products in Dollars

Buying Euro products in Dollars

Unless Michael from Band Pro has changed pricing in his post, the new Zeiss set is USD $40,000 not $30,000. Personally, I think that is way over priced considering the speed of the wider lenses.

Matthew

Matthew $40,000 US is about 30,000 Euros
As of today .759euro cents equals 1 us dollar so they are harmonized prices.

- New Carl Zeiss Compact PL prime set 18mm T3.8, 21mm T2.9, 25mm T 2.9, 28mmT2.1, 35mm T2.1, 50mm T1.5 85mm T1.5, USD 30.000.

Sanjin

Just to verify? 30.000 USD. Nice set, but the speed.

Correct price on Zeiss primes

Correct price on Zeiss primes

Sanjin:
According to price announced by Band Pro ( who is selling these new lenses)
this is the official word from their announcement:

"<30K Euro / $40K for a set of 7
Full sets will be available early July."

that would make them $39000 in todays US dollars

Regardless of whether folks think that is a good or bad price, your original post seems to indicate 30k USD
which probably needs verifying or correcting so folks know what's up
thanks for posting this though!

Do not take the price of the Zeiss Compact Primes as an absolute. Not yet.

In fact, do not take the price of ANY of these lenses as an absolute. Not with all of this glass coming to market.

And the lenses that I and Laguun are talking about are in fact the same. And I never said where they come from and who makes them, so I would suggest editing the first post to correct this.

And Abel will have these AS WELL AS OTHERS at our booth next week. See you all there.

Mitch... why not bring a sample of each to the Reduser party on Wed so we can help our customers really see how they all compare in optical and mechanical quality. :)

Personally I think there's enough food at the table for everyone to eat well.

Be there with bells on.

Of course a lens projector does not come close to telling all there is to know about the qualities of a lens. But it is an interesting start.

If you bring the lenses it may be more productive. Bells look weird projected :)

Had to, just had to
