  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New German Primes: Price below 10.000 per set.

What would you like to know that is not currently up on the IB/E website?

Not that I can promise to tell yet but I'll do what I can...

There is stuff that we're keeping under wraps until the show. Stuff you should all find interesting...
 
I have access to information that says Laguun's set doesn't have the same specs as the IB/e set. For one, the focal MM's are different, and the T-stop is different, not to mention delivery date.

As I currently figure it, there are 4 sets being developed right now. RED, Luma Tech (Super Speeds), IB/e, and this unknown brand set.

I do have two questions for you Mitch. Have you seen any of these IB/e lenses in person, or are you just like us and have seen the renders, but know a few more facts about them? Also, the website says "Low Price" at the very bottom, but I seem to recall that you thought they were going to be $25k+. Or was I just dreaming that?

A little bird whispered to me that there's Zeiss lenses coming as well. Most probably built from the still side. How true that is I don't know, but I guess we'll see for ourselves very soon.
 
I have seen lenses. There will be individual lenses available for sale. The prices are not the lowest mentioned nor are they the highest. The quality is however the highest.

And then there's more stuff I can't tell you...

Have you seen Red Pro Primes? Others?

I am getting dizzy, this is getting out of hand. How long till NAB? I feel like we are traveling on a small boat in a storm.
 
IBE in February, told me about Euros 4000 for lenses... I don't think are the Laguun's one...

imagine this are the cheaper UP`s and RED`s are the cheaper cooke s4`s

personnaly if i find tomorow 200 000 k in a box i would go Cooke...the name sounds sexy...:)

I suspect they are are compact primes - Zeiss ZF Lenses in a PL Mount with an Ultra Prime type housing @114mm - T stops not uniform across the focal lengths.
