Hey guys, so just finished a collaboration with Funny or Die on their first Red project. We shot for 3 days, two kinos, a sound guy and a 1st AC! It was a ton of fun. Big thanks to my AC's Scottie and Alex and also the people over at Upright Citizens Brigade for helping out!

Now, FOD has the task of figuring out how to get an HD player embedded into their site.

This was a test to see if the Red could work in their type of fast paced production/post-production world normally dominated by HVXs. TAKE THAT HVX!

Also, a side triva note, there are 2 shots at the end that were shot on the HVX with a Letus adapter as pick ups... can you spot them?

Very nice. Only problem I can see is the images look cleaner than those from the original:tongue: No offense to Maryse Alberti, that was obviously the way Aronofsky saw it but 16 don't stand up to Red.

This is gold. Oscar worthy! haha

Were some of those the same locations as the real film? Like the bar?

actually no, all of these locations were in and around hollywood. The guys over at FOD had like 4 people constantly calling locations trying to find ones the fit. We walked into the bar blind and were blown away by how amazing close it was! Same with the convenience store - we just randomly were given permission to shoot there and when we walked inside and saw the cashier, we all got so excited!

Hysterical. Great camera work. Congrats. And isn't Alyssa awesome to work with? I did a show with her for 7 years and she is the best.

It was Charmed, wasnt it?

What glass did you use? And i'm dying to know which were letus shots.

Giancarlo:

Yes, it was CHARMED. Alyssa is a dream to work with. Incredibly versatile actress.

Joel J. Feigenbaum

YES! She was a complete blast to work with! Super funny and very professional. She had a bunch of awesome stories from Charmed about all the Animals that her character 'morphed' into!

Our company (Wavelength650 - shamless plug!) has a set of Zeiss 2.1s. However, we realized that in order to match a lot of the shots that Arranofsky shot, we found ourselves almost always living on the 24mm and the 40mm.

As far as which shots are on the HVX, the first one is when he's shaving his arm pits (01:42) and the second and third are when he's looking at himself in the mirror (01:52 & 01:53) - i guess all compressed down the only difference is the field of view and depth of field - still looks nasty to me though - also, the shot of his tears rolling down his face (02:09) was HVX too! just realized that. I literally left set to catch a flight to San Fran and the director stayed behind to get those extra shots.
