Does this mean it won't run with my meagre 4gig 3ghz dual core intel imac?

I only bought the imac to install cs4.. .. it is good news though..

The Read Me file says:

High end notebook computers should support real time playback in Premiere Pro using 512 sequence settings.

So it'll work, but just not at 1K or 2K.
