It always comforts me when I'm in the same boat with Jeff Kilgroe. Somehow, I feel smarter just knowing he feels the same way I do.

Something is not clear to me:

I understand that there is an upgrade path to trade in for an Epic X, but will current RED One owners be able to purchase an EPIC X (with the free CF module, I/O module, battery module, but without the $17.5K discount) and keep their RED ONE if they want? This was not on Jim's option list, but seems consistent with the spirit of the offer. So can someone clarify?

It would seem odd if those who want to keep their RED ONEs do not have access to the 1st EPICs shipped.

Thanks,
Phil

Absolutely, all RED One owners can purchase an EPIC X and keep their RED ONE. It's a one time deal.

OK Jim, I am lost for words.
Problem is, a friend is going through some really sad times and though I want to, I can't wipe that smile off of my face to be with her and console her. She'll think I just pretend to care...
Thanks once more Jim and RED!
Guys I propose we all send in Christmas Cards to RED from all around the world as a little thank you :)

EDIT: FF1080P ? ? ?
What the heck?

So, can someone clarify what "complete kit" means? If its $3,000 for brain and lens and 750 more for a complete kit, what comes included in the kit? CF Module, Battery Module, and I/O Module?

The "complete kit" fixed lens Scarlet is $3,750. Can anyone from Red tell us what that kit includes, exactly?

EDIT: Ryan beat me to it.

Ah, brochure update...

That EPIC X is just plain awesome. But my heart still wants EPIC FF35. 2K @ 350fps. nice. :)

What the heck are you guys watching? Are the new announcements up? Where?

ALREADY POSTED!!! And I can't believe my eyes!!

Please, tell me FF1080P is FULL FRAME 1080P 30FPS!!!!

Not sure why that's a surprise considering it's a 3K sensor .. is it the "P" that surprises you?

Yes Sir.

FF1080P is Full Frame 1080p at 1 - 30 fps variable frame rate.

So that includes native 23.98, 25.00, 29.97 fps image capture.
