Hi,guys
Allstar shoulder will be available after 2 weeks.There are some test pics about prototype.
I shot those pics myself from the miror.As you see,I can free my hand to operate the DSLR and the camera(it`s a model of RED,10KG weight)still stay on my shoulder.That`s mean the weight of camera was almost supported by my shoulder.

Allstar shoulder is slant,that can conform to your shoulder and keep the horizontal.

How much does it weigh? The attachment block looks pretty bulky. But this and your dovetail certainly start to make the RED production pack look more attractive.

Just received ours today - about 3 working days after payment.

Excellent service and communication, and the plate is excellently built - fit and finish are absolutely up to standard, interacts smoothly with the Red baseplate and locks down solidly when set in position.

Thanks again Allstar - a highly recommended solution if you want to use the Red baseplate and avoid buying a full 3rd party solution. It also allows quick movement from tripod to shoulder mount using Red's existing shoulder dovetail piece (or Allstar's new one of course, although the Red solution will be significantly lighter, if less advanced).

Your shoulder mount looks great!! By the way, does it work with the element technica dovetail? If I known earlier of allstars existence, I would have bought the standard mount with your dovetail but I purchased the ET arri mount and ET dovetail... They are coming with their version of the shoulder mount but it's quite expensive so I am looking for an alternative.

No,it can`t work with ET.Allstar dovetail was an accessory to fill RED porduction pack.You just spend hundreds not thousand dollors to make more convenient on porduction pack.
But Allstar shoulder can work with ET or any kinds of plate!

Allstar shoulder will be available on 12/1 I`ll post finish product pics(the under pics aren`t finish)
It could work on Allstar dovetail very fast
and because of the size of Allstar dovetail is the same as O`connor1030 plate,the shoulder "maybe" match Arri 1030 dovetail.

Here is a little dovetail shipping with Allstar shoulder.To mount it on the bottom of camera first if you don`t have the dovetail plate.

At last,the price is $400

Hi Allstar. Just wondering if your dovetail plate can be made to fit the ET/Arri Style Bridgeplate with a slight modification. See this modification David Farland made to his Red shoulder mount to make it fit the ET/Arri Style Bridgeplate - it involved only milling about 0.4mm off the top of the shoulder mount! The shoulder mount then fit both the Red Production Pack bottom plate and the ET bridgeplate:

I made these rigs because of want to improve RED accessorise.I am a reduser too,I like RED but also perplex some issues on RED accessorise.I want people could get out of those issues and save money and time,not have to buy another complement of system.
If you have budget and want to work with arri dovetail,ET has made very excellent rigs.Copying ET/Arri system then sell it at cheaper price isn`t my style.:sarcasm:
RED shoulder is the most awful accessory(sorry RED teamhmy: ).It is hard,small,inconveniently to install, hard to adjust the center of gravity.I have no way to improve it ,so made another shoulder.:tongue:
