This Changes Everything!

This Changes Everything!

This Changes Everything! My first Red purchase will be the Scarlet 3K - with interchangeable lens. Amazing - simply amazing. Congratulations.

No it doesn´t say that it won´t take such a lens, it just says such a mount isn´t included..

The sheet I looked at that shows the 6K Epic (with the Monstro FF35 sensor) specifies only Red Mount, Canon Mount and Nikon Mount. The one with the mysteruim-X sensor (with a smaller sensor area) does mention the PL mount.
From there I understand that the PL mount/lenses is not compatible with the FF35 sensor.

I'm confused with the EPIC 28K. The design of like a PSP. I can't see it being using in cinema applications since it has a video game wide design...but I'm sure I can be proven wrong!

That's crazy.....I'm so blown away...I want to buy EVERYTHING...hahaha.

That picture of the RED team last night remind me of the scene from the godfather where Michael is safe and sound in the church while, at the same time, systematically wiping out every other family.

I'm giddy like a kid at disney land today.

I just want to say to the red team, as a technology geek, I'm so impressed with what you've given us. As a filmmaker I'm thankful to you for the huge advances you've given us in toolset. You've truly raised the bar beyond my wildest expectations.

In sum, sign me up. I'll start building my system(s) today (at least in my head). And if there's anything else I can do to support the cause, just say the word.

All hail RED!

How do we get on the list???? Any word on this?

didn't it say some where on the site. When its avalible then you can buy it. There for no list until then..

It is true that the 6K monstro sensor on the 6K epic will be too large for a normal PL lens, but that doesn´t rule out using one - we need an option for 13+ stops using PL lenses (and the 100fps)

I think it´s strange that this has been overlooked, might be an obvoius option out there from RED that we don´t know about yet.

Also I wonder how much the other pieceds of the puzzle will cost, the I/O box for instance, are we looking at another 5K perhaps?

Jim I am speechless!
You guys nailed it 100%.
specs, modularity, value...
you're cooking a dinner for everybody's taste. (except maybe the competition; is there any?)

My concerns (as my avatar points out) lays mainly in the solid post-production solution. Yes, I have noticed the Adobe announcement.:)
Another question I have is my R1 accessories. How compatible are they in a real world?

For my needs the FF35 seams like the way to go, but I can only afford S35; will there be an easy affordable way to upgrade the sensor on the S35 Epic to the Monstro 5K at 13 stops.
Will the upgrade affect the size (resolution) of the chip as well?

I am confused about the new Red mount and lack of the PL mount on the FF35.

Once again:CONGRATS!
I LOVE MY RED1 AND WHERE IT TAKES ME...can't wait for the Epic

Sorry if this question has already been asked --

Can a scarlet S35 (max 5K @ 30fps) still shoot 3K @ 120fps? (or any higher fps at a lower resolution?)

I ask this because the RED ONE's specs are listed as max 4K @ 30fps, and we know it can do higher fps' at lower resolution.

This is Bombastic! I just bought the RED ONE, and now I know I have a lot more money to spend soon! Looks like my investment in RED is going to be the best one I made in a long time! Kire from Kenya

I wonder how correct the blurb on "delivery dates subject to drastic change" will turn out to be. . .

And where is the upgrade for RED One? Nowhere? I guess we drank we the Kool-Aid on that obsolescence being obsolete bit, huh?
