  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

November 13th... prep.

I warned them about that. I hope they made preparations for the tens of thousands of page serves they're going to have requested of them during each of those few minutes around the clock expiration.
 
Waiting is half the fun though. Well, watching you all wait is fun for me... :-) Sorry.

there better be some uncompressed footage or stills from the whatever camera or product you are about to reveal. Remember the specs and body diagrams and potential abilities don't mean much to us. We are film people "seeing is Believing". A lot of people wanted a lot of things from the Red One camera, you delivered on your promise of high quality image even from the first build, and later gave us useable sound. but even before the release of the camera you gave us those beautiful images of youngins drinking glass bottled milk!!!. those are the images we show investors to finance our films.

there won't be any footage.. the cameras only exist as renders at this point.. Jim has said that it will only be renders.

i think seeing a working prototype at NAB '09 is more realistic. RED has done great things, but I have a hard time believing they'll be ready to ship any scarlets or epics before June. But they're more than welcome to prove me wrong.
 
I hope that the Epic will be compatible with all the accessories of the existing Red that are currently on the market right now. I'm going to have a fit if they're not... :O

Well, Im ready for the announcement, my browser is refreshing Red.com every 5 seconds for the next 15 hours and 44 minutes, so that is already 11328 hits from me towards the million-hit-ticker :wink:
