  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

All Caught Up....

That's great news RED Team! You must be stoked to be in that status with RED One before launching the new product info this Thursday...very, very cool indeed.

I'm reading this sorta the opposite way. Unless RED's manufacturing has ramped up then demand has finally slowed to the point that they've caught up. From a buyer standpoint that's great... but from RED's standpoint - hmmm.

Guess it's about the right time to announce Scarlet with REDish specs. They'd sell a couple hundred thousand of those.

Impressive. How is the backorder on various accessories? I know a number of them are caught up as well. If someone were to place a fairly well-rounded order today would they get prompt delivery of most everything? 18-85 doesn't count as it obviously needs a chance to catch up.
 
Congratulations Jim, Jarred, and Red Team. I know this has to be a huge relief for all of you. Now you can be fully prepared for the new stuff. Exciting! :)
 
There goes the used premium market! And to think Red's were going for $10k over their face value just 9 months ago.. Seriously, this rocks.. I feel even more secure now, knowing I can get a body in less than a week.
 
So do all the new cameras ship with release build 17?!
I've been holding off on upgrading but if new cameras are shipping with release 17 then I'm more likely to make the jump!
(Lots of the larger rental house cameras in town are still on B15 !)

Time to switch boss. 17 is the new 6.

And 1:1 zoom is insanely amazingly great.

They did ramp up rather quickly though.

Camera 2001 on started shipping in July. that's 4 months ago. It took almost six months for production to get past the initial 500. From 2401 through 5300 and incoming orders has taken less than four months.
 
Now for the Red Drives and the 16GB CFs. Then the wait on the RED RAM.
