  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

PowerBox

see that's how business is done.
Indeed!

New: PowerBox
$ 550.00
PowerBox acts as a power distributor for your camera batteries. PowerBox can be mounted directly onto your 19mm/104mm* spacing rods, enabling power distribution to camera and various accessories. PowerBox features an on/off switch for accessories out. The PowerBox can also act as a SwapPack mount and 19mm bracket extension for mounting various accessories like focus motors were ever desired on your camera or ActionCam!

*With optional 15mm reducers, can be mounted on 15mm rods with 100mm spacing

nice!

1. Can you explain how this works?

2. What type of input connector?

Yes, I noticed this 2 days ago on your website and was excited but unclear of the input connector and your description that digitalFX has inquired about.

Plug in your red cradle or our swappack into one of the 6 pin lemos. Use (optional) 6to6pin cable to power your red from the powerbox. Use the three 2pin lemos (0b and 1b size) to power your accessories.

You can use the powerbox as a motor mounting bracket, by mounting the motor on the one 19mm (requires short piece of 19mm rod) and the other 19mm hole directly to the 19mm suport rods.

Norm,
the two 6 pin on the back are input and passthru....so you only gain the three 2 pin lemos.

why not add some fischer lemos?

can you post a pic of the back?

Unfortunately, without a third 6-pin Lemo connector, it won't allow you to hot swap a normal RED-supplied set-up. As noted, you gain only the three 2-pin sockets. Add a third 6-pin Lemo (assuming it was wired properly) and you're able to do hot-swaps and, suddenly, I think a lot of people would be excited by this. Without it, probably not so much.

For swaping we have the swappack:)

David Hable of Cramped Attic Technology in Vancouver has made a power box as well which has a lot more connections and an blue LED voltage readout. I think it has something like 9 or more different inputs.

This is exactly what I want. Is David selling these? All unregulated - pass-through only?
