Does anyone know if there is a third party manufacturer of a power splitter box?

I need to come out of the red body accessory port to an arri 3 pin rs or 12 pin fisher or both, to power some additional aks I have.

Any info would be appreciated.

Just about finished - will have on/off button for your accessories.
Picture shows with SWAP-PACK holder. The out-put connectors for accessories are Lemo 2pin (0B and 1B), so you go Lemo 2pin to "what ever" connector. The parts will be black, new pictures in about 10 days.

What's that big plate attached to it for?

Hi,

Gecko Cam in Munich sell ZV-3way Fischer 3pin accessorie boxes. They where really kind and saldered the Lemo 4pin onto the end with trigger control.
They are really cool and make my life so much easier.

Cheers

At Lentequip we just completed a splitter box for the RED. It has 3x 3 pin Fischer, 1x 11 pin Fischer, a 4 pin (polarity protected) XLR input to power the RED from our high capacity block batteries and a blue power-one status LED. The splitter sits between the battery V-mount and the cradle. Initial interest to our direct customers has been very high so I thought I post it here. We have also manufactured a new aluminum plate that replaces the heavy steel one behind the battery mount. It incorporates a grommeted hole to pass the wiring through to the main harness where the connection is made. I hope you might find this interesting. www.lentequip.com or 416.406.2442

Please talk to Dave Hable at Cramped Attic. http://www.crampedattic.com
I don't think he has pics on his website, but makes numerous hotswap boxes for the RED...some have an LED voltage indicator. Several rental houses are using his boxes on their RED packages.
Hope that helps.

I'll make an announcement next week about some new batteries and breakout accessories that Abel will sell that are really useful for RED owners. Just got to get all the copy and photos ready for the website.

This product is on the right track but is lacking a few important features...
#1 Voltage meter (this is an absolute must for block battery usage)
#2 V-mount shoe on the bottom for speedy removal or re-mounting via ET v-locks.
In fact there could be a V-mount bottom that fed power directly through the Red battery plate to the camera. That would be an elegant solution, just replace the Red battery with one of these when you are on blocks, then swith back to Red batteries on the same plate when you go hand-held.

I'll take number 6 of the new model thanks:biggrin:

Evin, it's like you're leaning over my desk looking at our gear...

Hi Evin; As you may likely know, the voltage is not an accurate reflection of the battery's capacity. If you were using our splitter and powering you RED via the 4 pin XLR connector, you can use this configuration in conjunction with our BrainDrain which will give you readings of Voltage, Amps, Watts, Ah, Wh! http://www.lentequip.com/products/braindrain.html
We will also be releasing an electronic hot-swap box in a few week. I"ll post the details when it's available.

ActionProduct's PowerBox doesn't have a voltage meter, but in conjunction with their SwapPack it makes for a great addition to any camera. I've been using both the items for a few months now, with great satisfaction. Here are a few pix, showing the PowerBox powering a remote FF, an AJA downconverter and a Transvideo HF transmitter ; you can also see ActionProduct's ActionCam with their Swappack and lastly a pic of me testing the ActionCam with a LED around the lens powered by the second battery at the bottom of the ActionCam.

The Powerbox has a little red button alowing you to cut the power to the accessories, it has two small lemo 2 conectors and one medium size, of course we had to get a bunch of cables made.

Cheers,
Damien

Stanley Fernandez at CSC New York is making a box that goes in-line, has 3 RS ports, an 11-pin Fisher, and a short pigtail to the Red's 4-pin Lemo so you can use ARRI products to remote start-stop.
I'm not sure it's done but it looked pretty nice when he showed it to me...
EDIT:
Just looked at the Lentequip item photo. Nice work, Emery!
In case there are folks here who don't know his company, they make REALLY nice camera accessories and battery products. I've bought a bunch of mattebox adapter rings and upgrade kits from them. Great build quality. And a great company.
Cheers,
Harry

Sorry Emery but having a second in-line voltage meter is a very in-elegant solution. You do not need all that info just a simple accurate voltage reading that will tell you when you're getting close to the bottom and need a new block. Keslow has some protos doing this right now and they have worked great for us on many commercials and three TV shows.

The swap accessory is as simple as a p-tap suicide cable. However, if you can build it into the box. go ahead.

Mitch let me know when you have a proto, I'd be glad to give it a spin.

This is great. What's the price?

I started using the Lentequip Spliter Box today.

WHAT A DREAM COME TRUE!

Now My RED ONE is Really up to the standards of my clients.

(will post photos later)

ONLY PRO'S can understand all the faults that the RED one has,

This is NOT the first time that Emery changes the industry.

11 years ago i upgraded my Steadicam Master with his 24 Volt converter, and High capacity batteries.

And it changed the way all steadicams worked with an Arri 435 at 150 FPS

The canatrans... One of the Best Investments. EVERY-body in the film industry could agree.
