Hood for Red LCD ?

Anyone owns or has seen some hood for Red LCD ?

I want to build my own. Not sure what material to use. Soft enough to fold and use velcro to remove.

This one may work as well. Check the measurements. But you could certainly trim it or modify it to make it work and it has plenty of Velcro to adjust. It comes in two pieces (3 sides plus bottom) and also provides 3 Velcro strips to stick to the LCD. B&H has quite a few monitor hoods if you simply search monitor hoods.

There is always Boxman. A wealth of sizes to choose from!

2. Go to a craft store and pick up some 1/8" black foam sheet

3. Cut to size for LCD

4. Stick on the velcro tape

Thats it- it looks pro too. Only costs around $8

Forgot to add: For the black foam sheet- you want to get the flexible kind- not foam board. I wrap my LCD with the sunshade also when not in use.

I get the feeling you don't think Boxman looks professional enough! : )

The bigger problem for me was the windage on days with strong gusts. If the EVF hadn't arrived I suppose I might have finally broken down and looked for a more svelte box.

Filipo,

It's an adapted Canon FD 150-600mm; my main telephoto for the last twenty-one years. It might be possible to start using EF lenses soon...

Sorry- I meant that the boxman looks TOO pro- someone might think I may be someone I'm not if I had a boxman on my camera. Looks good on yours though. ; )

The Hoodman is pretty inexpensive and works well. Here is a shot taken in some alabama sunshine and you can clearly see the LCD:
