Okay. I've read it a ton on the boards...
So, I jump on a plane and come to Maui to shoot for this doc we're working on and my phone dies out on location. So I plug it into the camera and nothing.
Now, I'm okay if I'm just a temporary idiot cause I tried based on the numerous posts stating you could. But if you can't, sucks I fell for it. If you can, HOW FOR THE LOVE OF RED??!?!

Hunh?

Hunh?

What in the hellz are you talking about?

What he means is: the iPhone is charged by a USB cable, and the RED has a USB port. So in theory... you could use the camera's batteries to recharge your iPhone. But if you tried it and it didn't work, I dunno.

Okay. I definitely want iPhone charging capability on my Red. Perhaps quicktime proxy transfer from CF or Red Drive to the iPhone if possible. J/K about the latter request...well...maybe not. :)

Thats funny im gonna try that one day.

That's odd... I've tried it on at least ten cameras with no luck.

That said, I have noticed that more and more cameras behave differently with build 15. Some will have active HD-SDI outputs during boot [sometimes as quickly as 15 seconds after pushing the power button] and some won't show an image until the camera is fully booted. Some will show an image during a card reformat while some will not. There are a handful of different little differences like this between different cameras. I expect it has to do with camera circuitry subrevisions, but who knows...

Yea, mine has a signal almost immediatly on reboot from HD-SDI.
