  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hello to the singapore red owners. I have a shoot coming up where i would love to be able to use the red one. Are you guys renting out the cameras? What would be your daily rate and what is included in the package.

well good thing that im enrolled in Crazy Filmmaker program in IAFT, because the RED Digital Cinema Inc. has delivered the first of a total of five RED Cameras in our school, making it the first film school in Asia to incorporate the vastly publicized new generation of cameras.The fully digital camera that uses a new generation "Mysterium" CMOS imaging sensor represents the next generation of cameras for feature films with a resolution of 4k - four times of the current "High Definition" format. It encompasses a totally digital workflow, recording directly on hard drives and solid-state media instead of tape or physical film.,

HKG and China is a bit fall behind IAFT, and I am just a honest guy in ASIA.

I sure wish I was in your film school! We worked with Sony DVCams, and Arri SR1's, and that's about it! Of course we could covet anything we could grab a hold of....
But WOW!!!!! Congrats! Enjoy and prosper! RED involvement in film schools is hopefully a growing trend!

I'm hoping to be RED certified by September, so if any of you are nearby, drop me a line.....

BTW, RED certified means having my RED ONE camera possession only; don't expect a guru for at least three months! :>)

Uncompressed Raw output from s35mm sensor based D-cameras are what our HKG and CHINESE students have to learn for now and future in their School of Films in knowing both tradtional Films based shooting skills and DI tools for
D-Cinemas.
Watch out that HKG could be a Asiawood for students to believe what I have been planting the Seeds here in HKG - CHINA .

Here in Korea too. We are just starting out. I am a film editor, and people just started shooting on Red. I hope there will be more RED shoots in Korea soon. : )

Edo, I have already two REDs in Jakarta and two more coming in December. We will be installing the Scratch DI management and Color grading system. We have all the lens - Ultra Primes, Red Lens and Superspeed lens. We have shoot one large commercial and is currently shooting one feature using Master Primes. Lim

Red # 1442 is already here in Jakarta and another 2 will be arriving early September.
Plenty of options for anyone looking for the camera to rent.

There are a few REDs in India. Atleast two for rental in Mumbai. Please PM me with any enquiries for a RED One rental (based in Mumbai).
