  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

This camera is too awesome. Image quality way too outstanding for price.

Not to mention that they are actually only selling a still camera and passing it off as a movie camera, just because it records stills very fast.

Wait a second. Is there a "record stills very fast" mode?!! For that matter is there a "record" mode?!! That's advanced dude, how do you work it? How many stills can you record!?
 
Everything from RED sucks! It's disgusting!

I don't know, but they screwed it up so badly that the faster you record, the slower it goes. That's just not right.

No wonder - i think 120P from a CMOS sensor is only 35P in reality as the chip has to debayer!
 
And we all know that there is no such thing as a free lunch. So - free firmware upgrades? No decent programmer would work for free, so all upgrades must suck. Hey, they probably let some poor kids in a sweatshop way east labour for old food. No morale...

Anyone who knows me, know that I am an around the clock guy, basically sweating in front of my computers, smoking too much and not moving a lot.

Since I got the RED, I've had to drag this thing through deep snow, fly in a chopper with an open door, dragging the beast up steep hills with sticks and lenses and whatnot and ballance on steep cliffs and walking cities @ night with tons of heavy and expensive gear. If this goes on I'll not be myself anymore in a years time. This is not healthy and totally unwaranted!

I didn't order a new life, just a new cam!
 
I'm suffering from sleep deprivation at the excitement of getting my Red, and then find out there is a two week delay.

No other piece of gear has had this effect on me, and there were no warnings given in any Red literature about this particular side effect. They suck.

I find myself seriously contemplating ordering a second one, and I haven't even recieved the first. This is some kind of voodoo, I'm telling you.

Seriously, it's all RED's fault, all of it.
 
I have to tell you, I haven't laughed this hard is a LONG time! Thanks for the great humor guys. So let me add my .02 to the thread. I no longer have a reason to live. This camera is the camera I've ALWAYS dreamed of. RAW files, unlimited lens choices, affordable media and affordable camera. So what do you do after all your dreams have come true? I am lost... not sure what to do now... no more dreams to look forward too... please help!

What the hell should we do with this useless, plasticless black block? I ordered red. I want red!
Mr Jannard, why are you playing these silly games with your costumers? I spent more than 17500 bucks, isn´t that enough money to have the right to get the colour I ordered?????
 
Yep I'm quite dissapointed with all that Red hype. Why 4K resolution? Why so much? No one of my friends is able to even partly understand what that huge difference between HD and 4K and who need it.
They allways ask "Can I play it on my TV? No? Hmm..." And then they aren't interested in it any more. Boohoo...
WTF, I feel so alone now, nobody wants to talk to me. I lost last couple years of my life with reading of Redforum, what a waste ..... boohoo :sad:

Ok I'm over it I will buy that damn Red pocket stuff and when somebody will ask what kind of camera it is, I will simply reply "its a film camera dude" and I will be cool again :matrix:
