We just received our revised ET EVF, it is a very nice improvement over the previous mount. It how allows adjustment of the entire mount in/out closer or farther from the camera body.

What if you already own the original, I wonder what the cost of the upgrade (retrofit) is? You know, just that one piece that is new.

at NAB they told me they would be sending me the updated piece, NC, at least that was my understanding

Been using mine for about a month now and it's killer, there really aren't many places you can't put the EVF. here's an example of using it on the dumb side for a car-mounted 220º shot out the sunroof.

Nice Work Evin, Pushing The Limits In The Uae.

Evin, your killing me with that 6mm. Love the Arri branded magic arm as well.

Love the photos Evin.

Just to be clear regarding the new interface. It will be shipped no charge to everyone who has already purchased our EVF mount as well as with all new EVF purchases. We are assembling and shipping as quickly as we can. We should be caught up in the next 7-10 days.

Thanks for your patience.

Oh dude I hope you didn't have your eye on it while driving, driver hits the brakes and then - ouch.

But can the mount now rotate out on the z-axis away from the camera for when you're in a tight spot?

I've been using that revised ET EVF mount pictured in the thread opening post for about two and a half months now - in fact I was one of the beta testers for it, and before that I also beta tested the original ET EVF mount at the end of last year, and used it with my RED EVF until I received this revised mount.

My opinion on those mounts: the original mount rocks, but the new one seriously rocks.

I really like being able to quickly and easily adjust the lateral distance of the EVF from the camera body. That enables a choice of right eye or left eye for shooting. The revised mount gives me quick adjustment of the EVF to any position I need for a shot - something unbelievably valuable for mobile, quick shots in a variety of genres, with a diversity of camera setups.

I've been sequentially beta testing each of the RED-related ET products for about a year now. They're really well designed and fabricated.

I've really enjoyed my association with ET and the opportunity to beta test their products - they make very cool accessories for RED cameras.
