  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED Pro 7" LCD

Pro LCD at NAB...

Pro LCD at NAB...

Yes it is the same pixel resolution, but its bigger, brighter and maintains true colors over a wider viewing angle.

I just gotta say that I've been shopping around for a new production LCD for a while now, and the PRO LCD looked REALLY good in the booth...
Got to play with both the Pro LCD and the EVF for almost 10 minutes, and although the PRO LCD was impressive, the EVF blew my mind too... WAY better than what I was expecting, and I was going in with pretty high expectations.

Wish the LCD worked with the rest o' my gear....

the EVF blew my mind

Mine too. I had planed to buy just the LCD. Now I have ordered and paid for just the EVF. I know I'll have to deal with a 3rd party monitor for a while but the EVF was too impressive to pass up.

Let's hope they all ship soon.

The most amazing image ever to be seen on a field monitor even in bright day light is the TRANSVIDIO monitor.

Can't compete on price with RED.
But then again, you will not find anything better.

I don't work for Transvideo.
I'm a RED worshipper.

What is the actual "HW" pixel resolution of the monitors? I can't seem to find it on the web-site (it does need a little work done - the site)...

$2,500. Try selecting it and checking out your shopping cart.

$2500 I think is for the SD version.
THe HD version is i think about $8000

Bloody expensive!

Agreed site is shit.

Video is not.
Steadi cam guys worship the model.
When you see one working especially with a RED ONE signal going to it, it's amazing. You cannot see pixels! and bright even with full sunlight on the screen. Awesome field monitor.

why o why does all the good things cost so much...

May you share these with us please Mark?... I'm curious...

Well. Say you are in tight spaces, like maybe a car interior. A 5 incher would be much better in that situation.

Just a thought.

Oh and do the math. The standard red arm would not have enough reach to really make the 7" as "mobile" as you or rather I would really want it. If you get a 7" pro get the longer red arm to go with it.

Again, just my two cents.

eric, long arm with the 7" LCD is key..

Jarred, will the longer 9" arm be included with the 7" LCD or will we have the option to buy the longer arm with it (at a small upgrade price) instead of the 5" RED Arm?
