I'm just trying to get a sense of who else out there has S16 lenses on their Red One (or is planning to use S16 lenses on their Red One once they take ownership).
It does seem like most owners are using 35mm lenses, but for those of us shooting 2K the issues surrounding this camera aren't exactly the same.
Among them:
- More noise in the image.
- Not being able to work with greater-than-HD proxies in FCP and, soon, in Color. (Shooting in 4K lets you use 2K proxies; shooting in 2K means you're using less-than-HD-resolution proxies).
On the other hand, we've got the ability to shoot in higher frame rates, which the folks with 35mm lenses don't have at 4K.
Just trying to get a sense of who's out there and what you might have discovered as the best workaround to the 2K issues.
