Could people that are running their HDMI connected LCDs successfully please list them? Im buying a LCD monitor from a on-line store, so it will be somewhat tricky to try-before buy, so any help would be much appreciated!

I try to gather the info from other threads here. Thanks for anyone reporting! It would be great if you could comment if you get a 1:1 pixel aspect ratio and full menus. If you have any comments, I'll add them to this list.

I'm in the same boat. I'm actually packing up a monitor to return right now. So, don't anyone buy the Dell 1908WFP. It accepts the 720p preview output, but not the 1280x848 HDMI/DVI menus output.

Another thing I'd like to know is if the aspect ratio on the preview is correct on whichever monitors do accept both signals. I tested a few at Best Buy, mostly 20 and 22inch 1680x1050, as that was all that they had in stock, and though all of them worked with both output modes, none of them showed the correct aspect ratio. In 720p preview mode the image was squeezed slightly, and in HDMI/DVI menus mode the image was stretched.

The only one I've heard being able to do a 1:1 map of the image without an AJA or Blackmagic converter,or show the 720p preview as 16:9 instead of squeezed/stretched vertically to fit full screen on the monitors 16:10 aspect ratio, is the Dell 2405. I'm sure there are others, but that's all I've seen anyone comment on.

Here's a thread that I started in "Help" on the same subject as well:

Does this forum have a merge threads function? Would it work or just confuse things?

Thanks Matthew. I searched but didn't find.
On paper it looks better than the Panasonic 17". Have you discovered how it holds up colour-wise?

Not yet, but I should be buying it within two weeks. I believe it's supposed to show 102% of the NTSC colors, so we'll see.

I'm bumping this thread back up to see if anyone has had success in getting 1:1 pixel mapping with the menus from another LCD besides the Dell 2405 which is no longer available.
