Jarred...

I know I know leave it to me to look where I am not supposed too. But what are those RED lights sticking out the top of the upper 19mm rods??

Did you finally install anti-personal RED lasers for bad actors?

No, those could be the new " CARBON FIBER RED RODS " I hope as they look so very sexy and I'll get then for sure.

Jarred are the EVF mounts different from the one on Blair's RED I looked at last week?

yes.. those were pre-production. This is the first production unit that was done last night, and should be for sale starting today.

forgive my ignorance, but whats the benefit to using this mount over the much cheaper and seemingly more versatile RED Arm?

EDIT: if someone could also explain the difference between steel and carbon fiber rods (which appear to be the same price?)

THANKS!

It, basically, allows you to use the viewfinder in an EFP manner without having to unlock, twist around then lock the red arm.

Thanks Jarred,

this might seem sylly to some, but for me is a fantastic news, of the new CF rods as I overheard that they are much improved and of high quality, no more blowing up issues.

I want to keep my RED set up as sexy as possible, the eye needs is part too.

The ET EVF mount is incredibly well build, and with the new extension arm should give plenty of mounting options. I liked the Prototype Blair had mounted on #19, but this is WOW!

Got mine today. Great build quality. Now I just need that pretty EVF and I'll be putting it to good use.

Jarred
I just ordered the CF Rods in 12", 18", and 24"..

Don't tell Jim.. He hates CF and I don't want to get spanked two times in as many days.

:)

Jay

You will if you deserved:)

I think Jim was not happy with the previous CF rods, if I do remember or heard correct at RED DAY, this are of high quality and no prone to BUUM!

I have to say that Steve is looking in to it, but it might no be possible for me do bring food at the party as for the PALAZZO Casino regulations.

Thanks for correcting my mostly miss spelled english.
