  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Zeiss T*1.3 PL SuperSpeeds for sale

Optica Elite may me nice (probably are) but do you know when they will deliver you a full set? Tomorrow, a year, two years, ever? I might be pessimistic in this regard but please try to buy a full set of S4s or UltraPrimes. You don't get them in a fortnight.

Russia is not the EU or the States.

Additionally, well metained cine lenses are not that what one might called "used". If you don't like the SuperSpeeds, fine. But please test the Elites before you judge them just by hearsay.

Hans

EDIT: S4 are T2, Elites are supposed to be T1.3. Different. Just because the Elites look like S4 does not mean that they are a well made copy. I suppose that the Elites are much more similar to the Zeiss SuperSpeeds, both are T1.3 - meaning soft in the beginning and crisp from T 2.8 on upwards. I am guessing here for sure... But they won't have the performance of the MasterPrimes.

I hear ya Hans, but I've heard nothing but praise about how good the Elites are. I know the SS' quite well having shot with them many times.

They're great for their T1.3 speed, but quite soft when wide open (Which is the main benefit to them IMO).

All I'm saying is that the Elites seem to be much more bang for the buck especially when considering the comparisons that are made between them and the S4 line which is easily 3x more costly.

Well, I am not saying that the Elites are not a great bang for the buck. I like the idea of a new kid on the block. All I am saying is that I am not sure wether they can deliver in case you want a full set now, even Zeiss and Cooke cannot.

The SuperSpeeds MkII / III are softer than the UltraPrimes, no doubt but what are we talking: Subtle differences, no dealbraker, IMHO.

Some people actually dislike the UltraPrimes for their crispness... A matter of taste I recon.

Even the Elites are considerably cheap I would test them before I buy them. Approx. 30K for a set is money.

I've tried to contact you as well. Please email me.

We are in Brazil and got some great local technicians here, please be welcome to pick the lens here after making any tests you may wish so, we have colimator and everything else here needed.

While that may be true there is more to it than just having any ol' tech look at them. A $32,000 investment is no small matter and I don't suppose you're offering a money back guarantee?

What about an escrow service? I don't think anyone here will consider purchasing your lenses without a trusted third party evaluation in the U.S.A.
