• Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

1,000 - ?????

I noticed there is 5 "?"s in the thread title. Does that mean their going to deliver 10,000 cameras? Is that for the ","? Is it four mystery digits and a plain question mark at the end?

oh, okay... its actually kind of boring. A lot of fine print (not that its any smaller the any normal print, but a lot of that "you must do this by this date.. think about this, do that, consider this, don't do that., details, details, details. etc."

We're seeing RED!

Just ordered all my Element Technica stuff, Arri Follow Focus on the way, and my Cooke is ready to mount!

It's a good day.

A very good day indeed!

Good shooting and best regards to all,

Leo

i just got my email :)

Do we place orders through the store or do we email red a list.

Ah, what a great email day!

Hey Seth - you're next in line to me...

Is it just me or has the wait gotten harder now that you know the time is near??

Hey Dominic.. we must have been like 2 or 3 seconds apart on the order form the day that reservations re-opened ;)

It has gotten harder ! When it's ages away you can kind of put it out of your mind (for small periods of time .. like at least 7 or 8 minutes ;)

My email came from Travis. Does that mean that my rep is Travis?

How long should I wait before I email to ask what is going on? I don't want to be a pest, but I do want to know the problems and changes I brought up are being looked into.

Thanks.

It depends ...you don’t have a specific "rep"
per-se.. Depending on what you have an issue or question about you would email the appropriate section eg:
(from the “contact us red web site section)

Orders/Reservations order product, order status, and return information

Technical Questions
detailed technical questions about RED ONE and accessories
Technical Support
contact RED to be assisted with RED ONE and other RED product incidents
Business Development
Jobs
inquiries about job opportunities at RED
Website
comments, suggestions, and problems
General
product information, release dates, and everything else…

this would just put you in contact with the appropriate people to deal with specific issues/questions .rest assured you will get a response, some times it seems they care more about the customers than the camera itself so I don’t think you have anything to worry about in regards to bugging them …in fact I think they like it strangely enough .They seem extra nice when dealing with them over the internet …contact
Sean Ruggeri at ruggeri@red.com he’s always very helpful and he also deserves a pay rise .

Kelly has said in an other thread that if you did not know who your rep was you could pm her and she would tell you.

so I believe you do have a specific rep when your camera is being delivered, and as this thread is about getting your camera, I assumed my post would be taking in that context.

Yes, whatever rep you get "camera is nearly ready to ship" email from is your assigned rep for that order.

Thanks, BC
