  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Since it is obvious that Erik at Birger is overwhelmed and hasn't finished the paperwork side of things, and there is no way he's going to be able to sort through 72 pages of the old reservations thread, I started a new thread specifically for those that sent in an order but HAVEN'T been billed OR confirmed - the (Birger "I didn't get a confirmation for my order yet thread") .

That way you will have a public record that you ordered it and I imagine Erik will honor the free bluetooth deal for you even if he doesn't have your fax or email. And he will have an easy way to find those since obviously he might not have paperwork or email on his end. And if you want to cancel or postpone, then I would suggest sending him an email AND posting on this (Birger "I didn't get a confirmation for my order yet thread") thread. Please don't put the gripes or other questions here. I'm not trying to stifle anyone's expression - just think those might as well stay on the original thread:

Again, please don't post anything here unless it is that you had faxed or emailed an order but didn't get any confirmation AND you didn't get billed a deposit on your credit card. If he billed your credit card he obviously got it and unless you want it cancelled now don't post here.

I know I'm being presumptuous a bit - I don't know the procedure for getting these things moderated or made a sticky - but if a moderator sees this please do whatever is appropriate. Thanks.
 
I put in two reservations One Cannon one Nikon.
No email, confirmation or charge.
Faxed on 23rd Jan 2008.
 
We reserved by fax on Dec. 6 under my business partner's name, "Pierce Varous". Card hasn't been charged and no confirmation. We're not too worried, since people who reserved earlier and/or have names that sort higher also don't seem to have confirmation, but it would be nice to know... particularly since we're probably not going to get to use our Red for our own projects much until we get the Canon mount.
 
I faxed in an order for the Canon mount within five minutes of the end of the very first reservation period (this was confirmed by Erik's humorous comments about me in the original Birger thread.

I have yet to receive anything.

HOWEVER, and this is important, I also have since changed credit cards, so the old information I faxed to Erik will no longer work. I emailed Erik telling him about this change, but did not receive a response.

But BOY do I want this mount.

1 Canon mount ordered by fax on Nov. 30th, 2007....no confirmation received, no credit card billed, nothing

i hope this ends up helping to sort out the situation. if it does, i'm sending aquavideo a little present, as a token of thanks for keeping order within chaos....

I ordered via email on November 28th, and have heard nothing since.
 
Order placed on November, 29th. Received this email on February, 4th ;

"Thank you for your Cinema Lens Mount reservation/order. Your confirmation is based on the time that your order form was received. Your credit card has been billed the amount indicated on your sales order.

If your mount type has not been selected, please reply to this email with that choice. Your order will be held until we receive that information.

Erik."

Opened his attached .pdf and on the invoice was written; "Order form illegible please resend". Perhaps its an ink issue with his fax machine, but the order form is quite clear and neatly written. Regardless, the form was resent on the 4th of February, and that's the last I heard from them. No further confirmation received.
 
One reservation for a Nikon mount and other stuff.. Nov 29 - Applied Visual Technologies.
 
Ordered by fax (1) Smart Lens Mount (1) Camera Cable (1) Rail Mount Knob and (1) Accessory Cable - short with free bluetooth remote under Mark Mannschreck in November with CC ending in 7015. That CC is no longer valid.

Have heard nothing and CC no longer valid
