Hello, Red Komodo users.

I have a little problem with my Red Komodo OG.
I installed a V-mount Core SWX adapter on my camera (Red approved ) . And when I plug my SWIT Pocket battery into it (PB-M98S, 98 Wh, 14.4V), the camera suddenly switches off after a few minutes. Sometimes after 2 mins, sometimes 10 mins. I then have to remove the battery, put it back on and turn the camera back on.
I have tried with two SWIT PB98S batteries, same problem.
Does it come from the Core SWX adapter plate ? I bought it new from Ebay.
Funny thing : when I plug on the battery through D-tap to DC-in cable on Red Komodo, everything works fine. With Canon BP batteries too.
Any explanation ?

I use the same plate for years along with batterys from SWIT (Min0 Series) and Bebob Micro (switch to RED Data). You may have an outdated firmware on your Swit. Reach out to them an they send you a new firmware. Update to the latest Komodo firmware and do a factory reset afterwards. Most battery brands have no data bus and therefore do not work properly.

Hello, Michael. thanks for the message.
I contacted Core SWX. But I live in Europe, and my Core SWX adapter plate, bought new on Ebay, is no longer covered by the warranty (Especially when you buy it out of the official retailer shops) . Core SWX customer service did not offer to download the new firmware; all they told me was to send the adapter plate to them in the USA, they would repair it and then send it back to me in Europe. I have to pay all the costs (postage + repair + return postage). It's not worth it. I'm really disappointed with Core SWX's customer policy and after-sales service.

My Komodo camera has the lates firmware installed. It doesn't solve my problem.
But if you still have the last Core SWX adapter plate firmware somewhere on your hard drive, feel free to contact me ( PM) ....
