Don't know if the IMDb Website is correct, however it says that "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga" was shot with;

FURIOSA : A MAD MAX SAGA | OFFICIAL TRAILER #1

By Warner Bros. Pictures

Brian,

Yeah especially the Red Komodo with it's Global Shutter in all of those fast moving action scenes. I think the Alexa 65 was probably used for those Wide Vista establishing shots and for better control over the highlights and the Red V-Raptor for the Slow Motion shots. When you think about it, they all combined make the perfect cinema camera.

Yes indeed. Komodo was born for filming Mad Max style films.
I can imagine seeing several practical stunt shots from Komodo that audiences would
swear had to be CGI.
Will be interesting to see the end result.

Yeah,

I think "Fury Road" set a high bar for the MAD MAX franchise and I think this film will continue on in that same vane.

You're right it truly did and that bar was already quite high with the previous Mad Max films.
Fury Road reinvented things especially the look.
George Miller is one of those people that not only gets better with time
but can sing the same song several different ways.

Interesting despite the common themes how different each film is in the Mad Max series.

Wonder if his wife Margaret Sixel is editing this new film. No one was listed on IMDB.

Also saw that Miller's last film Three Thousand Years of Longing (2022)
used Komodo.

Brian ,

I hadn't seen "Three Thousand Years of Longing" yet, I will have to watch it. I just hope we won't have to wait too long to see this film. Hopefully Miller and his writers will find a way to expand this new Mad Max universe further into the future.

I haven't seen that film either. It looked a bit odd but it's George Miller. Not many directors cover the spectrum from Mad Max, Babe to Happy Feet.

It sounds like this Furiosa film was written back a ways with Fury Road which I believe was originally
supposed to get made back around 9/11 in 2001.
I have a feeling he has several story ideas in that world. Just hope he can continue to make them.

I think it would be a shame if at some point no one wanted to continue the Mad Max/ Road Warrior Saga.

So this is a different cinematographer than he used on the last two films, there are videos on YouTube comparing them and how the new cinematographer doesn't know how to handle highlight rolloff as well, ie the older two films thousand years and mad max have detail and skin tones in the highlights, where the nevest one blow out to white with no detail. Again, videos on YouTube comparing them...
John Seale was the DP on Fury Road and I believe he came out of retirement to make that film.
I always liked his work on the English Patient.
I remember seeing an interview(14:30) where he mentioned how they settled on filming with the Alexa for Fury Road.
In short, It didn't involve many tests at all and likely mirrored how many films end up on Arri.
The roll off issue could be as much a grading issue as it is an exposure issue.
I kind of think it's more how the color was done on the film as it does look a touch more contrasty and saturated but who knows.
Will check the videos on Youtube.

I don't Know how Furiosa was mastered, but based on what you describe above it sounds like it may have been mastered for a High Nit HDR finish( 2000 nits or even 4000 nits) and then maybe Trimmed for 2000 or 1000 nits or so. But I don't really know for sure.

It would just transform into another IP. Heck, why not try "Fist of the North Star" again with this new style?

Was a big fan of Hokuto no Ken growing up back when one had to find bootleg VHS tapes from Japan to watch anime.

WARNING: Graphic cartoon violence ahead.

And probably one of the hardest opening tracks for a TV show (particularly for a kids show).

How this was considered entertainment for kids in Japan is beyond me but it did a decent
job combining martial arts, the apocalypse, and melodrama.
