I’m trying to find out which anamorphic setting will loose the least pixels when cropping to 16:9 aspect ratio. I have been researching to try to learn how the sensor creates these different modes, but cannot find any info. What are your thoughts?

been using the 6k 2:41 then destrech in post. shoot in 50fps project and fr, can get a bit of slomo too.

I haven’t tested it myself with anamorphic lenses but I would think you’d select: Menu > Project Settings > Format > Super 35 Anamorphic (6K) > 6K 3:2 1.8x or 6K 4:3 1.8x depending on what your desired project aspect ratio is.

Which uses more of the sensor? 4:3 or 3:2? I believe it’s the latter?

3:2 will get you more sensor area.

All in the operations guide:

Jonathan Petts I was using an older version of the operation guide. It did not have this info. Good find. Looks like I’ll reference the online version in the future. Thanks!
