Well, you can't argue with someone, who doesn't speak more than a word.

He's posted the rules. Even if you didn't "flagrantly" violate the rules - you violated them and he short term banned you. No big deal and probably not worth arguing over.

For one, Richard's company is a sponsor of DVXUSER (they may not be any longer, but were at one point.) He should have the right to promote their products on the forum. That said, he doesn't promote his products in a pushy way. He's got vast knowledge about Flos, HMI, and tungsten lighting that he's sharing. Yes, he does promote, but more so in a--we offer this product and we believe it's a good replace at a lesser price--way. If a Arri rep or Cooke rep came on here offering wisdom and promoted their products in the same way, would you be mad about them?

I don't know what you said in your post to get banned, but obviously it was against the rules as Jarred is a fair guy. Remember that this isn't a democracy--this is someone's private website that they allow you to visit. If they wish you kick you out without reason, then respect their right to do so. The internet is a privilege, not a right.

Stephen, questions shouldn't be a reason for banning anyone and I don't see any fault. In other forums you would get some feedback instead. It's just plain childish. But it shows some two-faced double morality I often observe with US citizens. You can speak if you pay or you have to keep your mouth shut. Silly.

While it'll probably result in me being compared to a dictator, I'm going to lock this thread. While your banning is unfortunate, being banned from one of Jarred's forums and starting a thread in another one of his forums to discuss it is in poor taste.

Vilify me if you must, but Jarred's a cool dude and I don't think leaving a partially Jarred-bashing thread open is the best move. Furthermore, posting the email conversation you guys had seems like a no-no.
